Lamtluang Online News, Lunglei, December 11, 2024: World Boxing Council (WBC) Youth Champion Laldinsanga was given a hero's welcome by the people of Lunglei on December 11, 2024. The welcome ceremony was organized by the Lunglei High Powered Committee (HPC) and the Ramthar Veng village council.
The ceremony was attended by Lunglei HPC Vice Chairman Pu V. Malsawmtluanga MLA, Lunglei Municipal Council (LMC) Chairman Pu Lalzuithanga, Lunglei District Deputy Commissioner Pi Navneet Mann, and other dignitaries.
In his speech, HPC Vice Chairman Pu V. Malsawmtluanga praised Laldinsanga for bringing pride to Lunglei and the Mizo community. He also appreciated the support of Laldinsanga's family and friends.
LMC Chairman Pu Lalzuithanga congratulated Laldinsanga on his achievement and announced that the LMC would organize a separate function to honor him.
In an interview, Laldinsanga shared his experiences and struggles as a boxer. He expressed his gratitude to his family, friends, and well-wishers for their support.
The welcome ceremony was also attended by representatives from various organizations, including the Young Mizo Association (YMA), the Mizo Hmeichhe Insuihkhawm Pawl (MHIP), and the Mizo Union of Pawl (MUP).
Lunglei District Deputy Commissioner Pi Navneet Mann presented a citation and a gift to Laldinsanga on behalf of the district administration. The ceremony concluded with a speech by Baptist Church of Mizoram (BCM) General Secretary Rev. Dr R. Lalbiakliana.
