SIALHAWK PURCHASES DRY CHILI AT HIGHER RATE THAN GOVERNMENT FIXED PRICE

Lamtluang Online News: Sialhawk has purchased dry chili at Rs 415/kg and Rs 420/kg, exceeding the government rate of Rs 350/kg. On 7 December 2024, Sialhawk initiated the purchase of new dry chili from farmers at a higher price through the Sialhawk Multipurpose Society, which floated a tender on 22 November 2024.

Due to the society's efforts, dry chili was purchased at Rs 415/kg, and again, through a tender floated on 28 November 2024, it was purchased at Rs 420/kg. This move has brought relief to the farmers, who were previously selling their produce at lower rates.

The Sialhawk villagers said that in previous years, dry chili was sold at around Rs 300/kg, and the rate fixed by the ZPM government for the purchase of new produce from farmers was Rs 350/kg. However, the society established by the ZPM government has purchased dry chili at a higher rate, which is a welcome move for the farmers and labourers of Sialhawk, who have expressed their gratitude towards the ZPM government.

According to reports from Sialhawk, the ZPM government has initiated the establishment of a Multipurpose Farming Society. The society has been set up to facilitate the purchase of new produce from farmers and labourers. In 2024, the society has been actively involved in purchasing new produce from farmers, providing them with a stable market and better prices.
