Lamtluang Online News, Aizawl, December 12, 2024: The Central Young Mizo Association (YMA) Executive Committee has decided to distribute Christmas gifts to various organizations and individuals in need. The committee has allocated a total of Rs. 2,40,000 for the following:
1. Homes and hospitals: Rs. 2,00,000
2. ZMC Poor Fund: Rs. 30,000
3. Individual assistance: Rs. 10,000
The Central YMA has also received Rs. 4,00,000 from the Home Department to support the distribution of gifts to Branch YMA duty personnel in Aizawl city.
The Central YMA has also appealed to the public to refrain from drinking and driving during the Christmas and New Year celebrations. The organization has planned various activities to promote awareness and prevent accidents during the festive season.
Additionally, the Central YMA has allocated Rs. 25,00,000 to support refugees in various districts of Mizoram:
1. Lunglei Sub-Hqrs YMA: Rs. 6,00,000
2. Champhai Sub-Hqrs YMA: Rs. 6,00,000
3. Kolasib Sub-Hqrs YMA: Rs. 3,00,000
4. Saitual Sub-Hqrs YMA: Rs. 2,00,000
5. Hnahthial Sub-Hqrs YMA: Rs. 3,00,000
6. Mamit Sub-Hqrs YMA: Rs. 1,00,000
7. Aizawl: Rs. 4,00,000
