MIZORAM GOVERNMENT REVISES LIQUOR PROHIBITION LAW

Lamtluang Online News: The Mizoram Government is revising the Mizoram Liquor Prohibition Act, according to Chief Minister Lalduhoma. "We are carefully revising the Mizoram Liquor Prohibition Act," he stated.

Speaking at the ZPM party meeting yesterday, the Chief Minister said, "Our goal is to bring administrative reforms and ensure transparency in governance, and to that end, we are working on several fronts to bring about changes in the next year."

Regarding agriculture production procurement, the Chief Minister said, "As promised during our campaign, we are setting up collection centres where farmers can sell their produce at a price higher than the government rate."

Home Minister K. Sapdanga added, "In 2013, the new government allowed fireworks during Christmas and New Year's, leading to increased air pollution, which caused significant difficulties for those with respiratory problems and also led to a significant increase in the Air Pollution Index. Consequently, the government has banned fireworks altogether. We urge citizens to support this initiative."
