MYANMAR MILITARY COUNCIL LAUNCHES AIRSTRIKES ON KYAUKHLA VILLAGE

Lamtluang Online News: The Myanmar Military Council launched airstrikes on KyaukHla village in Minkin township, Sagaing region, on the night of 18 December 2024. Locals and the People's Defence Force (PDF) reported that the airstrikes were carried out without any clashes in the area.

A local resident stated that the Military Council bombed the village six times using Y-12 planes from Magway airforce, but the number of casualties is unknown. The bombing incident occurred near KaNi town, and locals reported that the Military Council bombed the village without any clashes in the area.

The Military Council's spokesperson did not respond to phone calls from RFA media regarding the bombing incident. This incident follows a similar airstrike on 16 December 2024, which killed five locals and injured over 10.
