CHINLAND COUNCIL FORCES DESTROY STRATEGIC TIMIT BRIDGE USED BY MYANMAR MILITARY

Lamtluang Online News: The Chinland Council (CC) forces have destroyed the Timit bridge, a strategic bridge used by the Myanmar military, located between Halkha and Thantlang in Chin State, on December 5, 2024.

The bridge was a crucial supply line for the Myanmar military's forces during their attack on Thantlang, and it was also an important bridge connecting Halkha and Thantlang.

According to reports, the bridge was destroyed with bombs by the CC forces.

A CC official stated that the bridge was destroyed after the Myanmar military launched a fresh attack on Thantlang, following the clearance of all Myanmar military camps between Halkha and Thantlang by the CC forces.

The destruction of the Timit bridge is expected to hinder the Myanmar military's ability to launch attacks on Thantlang from Halkha.

The CC forces had earlier launched "Jericho Operation" on November 22, targeting all Myanmar military camps between Halkha and Thantlang, except Auto camp, and successfully cleared the area.

In a related development, Myanmar military's Kimtlang camp, located near Halkha, was attacked by the CC forces on December 5 and 6, resulting in the death of three Myanmar soldiers and the seizure of three guns.

The Kimtlang camp is a strategic location for the Myanmar military, located near Halkha, and it was attacked by the CC forces on November 30.

The Myanmar military launched airstrikes on their former camps between Halkha and Thantlang on December 6, with over 30 bombing runs.
