Lamtluang Online News, Mizoram: On 6 December 2024, at around 2:55 pm, the Champhai Excise & Narcotics staff and 42nd Bn Assam Rifles conducted a joint operation at Zote and Tiau rivers, Champhai District, and seized 48 grams of heroin (packed in four soap boxes) and apprehended two individuals, Keddy Zosangliana (23), son of Lalbiaknunga, Tachhip, Aizawl District, and Lalrinliana (21), son of Zaitinrema, Tachhip, Aizawl District.
In another operation, on 7 December 2024, at around 10:00 am, the Champhai Excise & Narcotics staff seized 303 grams of heroin (packed in 25 soap boxes) and apprehended Lalsangzuala (44), son of R. Manlian (L), Kanan Veng, Champhai.
The accused individuals were booked under the Narcotics Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act 1985 and were produced before the District & Session Court, Champhai, Mizoram on 7 December 2024.
