LUNGLEI GOVERNMENT COLLEGE ACHIEVES NAAC ACCREDITATION FOR THE THIRD TIME

Lamtluang Online News: Lunglei Government College (LGC) in Mizoram has achieved a significant milestone by securing Grade B+ in the 3rd cycle of NAAC Accreditation, a prestigious assessment of colleges across India. The result was announced on December 6, 2024.

The college's incumbent accreditation process was completed in March 2022, and after making concerted efforts, the institution underwent a spot assessment visit from the NAAC peer team on November 28-29, 2024, and successfully regained its accredited status.

Notably, Lunglei Government College is now among the 19 accredited colleges in Mizoram, with a commendable grade that places it among the top-performing institutions in the state.

The college boasts an impressive infrastructure, with 14 departments, 70 dedicated teachers, and 20 supportive staff members. The institution is home to over 900 students, providing them with a vibrant and inclusive learning environment.

The breakdown of accredited colleges in Mizoram is as follows:

- Grade C: 2 colleges
- Grade B: 10 colleges
- Grade B+: 3 colleges (including Lunglei Government College)
- Grade B++: 1 college
- Grade A: 2 colleges
- Grade A+: 1 college

Total: 19 colleges

This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the college's faculty, staff, and students, and it reinforces the institution's commitment to providing quality education.
