MIZORAM ARSENAL SUPPORTERS' CLUB EXTENDS CHARITY TO NEEDY FAMILIES

Lamtluang Online News, Aizawl, December 9, 2024: The Mizoram Arsenal Supporters' Club (MASC) has distributed a total of ₹65,000 to 10 needy families in various villages across Mizoram as part of their Christmas charity programme.

The programme aimed to provide assistance to families struggling to make ends meet, particularly those affected by natural disasters and poverty. The MASC team, along with local community leaders, identified the beneficiary families and presented them with the financial assistance.

This year's charity programme was made possible through donations from MASC members and well-wishers. The club expressed their gratitude to all those who contributed to the programme.

The MASC has been actively involved in charity work over the years, with a focus on supporting vulnerable communities and individuals. Some of their notable charity initiatives include:

- ₹35,300 donated to families in Zemabawk and Durtlang in 2020
- ₹60,650 donated to families in Muallungthu, Kelsih, and Melriat in 2021
- ₹44,650 donated to families in Sentlang, Lungdai, and Sihphir in 2022
- ₹1,41,500 donated to families in Tuikhurhlu, Tuirial Airfield, Tuirial, Zemabawk East, and Hospice Care Unit in 2023

Additionally, the MASC has also provided assistance to other causes, including:

- ₹40,000 donated to TNT in 2021 to support COVID-19 relief efforts
- ₹30,000 donated to CYMA in 2023 to support refugees from neighbouring countries
- ₹61,500 donated to Arsenal fan Pu Matthew Lalchhanhima, who was affected by Cyclone Remal, in collaboration with Facebook Arsenal fans group.
