Lamtluang Online News: Mizoram Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati met with Bishop of Aizawl Most Reverend Stephen Rotluanga at his residence in Ramthar Veng, Aizawl, on the evening of 13th December 2024. The meeting was a gesture of goodwill ahead of the upcoming Christmas and New Year celebrations.
During their meeting, Dr. Kambhampati praised the contributions of Catholic churches in Mizoram, particularly in the fields of education and community service. He emphasized the importance of education and healthcare in driving development and encouraged the Bishop to continue their dedicated service to the public.
Bishop Most Reverend Stephen Rotluanga, who is the first Mizo to hold the position of Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Aizawl, expressed his gratitude to the Governor for taking the time to visit him. He also highlighted the efforts of the Catholic Church in Mizoram and their commitment to serving the community.
