Lamtluang Online News: On November 1, 2024, evening, Vanlallawmzuala Varte, who cycled across India from Mizoram, was warmly received by DC Kolasib, the All NGOs Coordination Committee, and the public at Kolasib Diakkawn with placards and bouquets. A short program was held for his welcome. Robert C Lalhmangaiha, Kolasib DC, praised Vanlallawmzuala's 'Ride to Clean Air' cycling initiative across India. He welcomed Vanlallawmzuala's homecoming, likening it to a victorious warrior's return.
The DC thanked the All NGOs Coordination Committee for organizing the event and wished Vanlallawmzuala success in his future endeavors.
Vanlallawmzuala Varte from Mission Veng Aizawl embarked on an incredible journey on January 25, 2024, to promote environmental awareness and clean air under the Mizoram Pollution Control Board's Mission Life initiative. He cycled from Aizawl to Tripura and continued his epic ride, covering all states and union territories in India, returning to Kolasib in Mizoram.
Vanlallawmzuala's remarkable journey, dubbed "Ride to Clean Air All India Cycling," aimed to raise awareness about air pollution and cycling benefits. He completed an astonishing 11,170 kilometers from Mizoram to Kashmir, earning recognition. Throughout his travels, Vanlallawmzuala received warm welcomes from state governments and Mizo communities.
Mission Life is Lifestyle For Environment, launched by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at COP 26 in Glasgow, Scotland. It promotes environmentally conscious lifestyles and encourages individuals to contribute to environmental protection through simple actions.
Vanlallawmzula Varte (LZ Varte) will proceed to his hometown Aizawl from Kolasib.
