Lamtluang Online News, Aizawl, 26th November 2024: Minister Pu C. Lalsawivunga, who is in charge of the Local Administration Department (LAD), attended the All Mizoram Village Council Association (AMVCA) General Conference held at the Dawrpui Multipurpose Hall in Aizawl.
The Minister urged the Village Council members to work honestly and diligently for the benefit of the state and its people.
He emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in the utilization of funds and encouraged the Village Councils to open Zero Balance Accounts in banks.
The Minister also mentioned that the government is planning to construct more Panchayat Bhavans under the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) scheme.
He said that the government has received the second installment of the grant for the construction of Panchayat Bhavans and that the funds will be utilized to construct more buildings.
The Minister also emphasized the importance of teamwork and cooperation between the government and the Village Councils in achieving the state's development goals.
AMVCA President Pu K. Lalngaizuala also addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of Village Councils in the development of the state.
The conference concluded with a resolution to work together for the development of the state and to promote better governance at the grassroots level.
The conference was attended by over 500 Village Council members and representatives from various local council associations.
