MIZORAM CHIEF MINISTER REVIEWS EDUCATION DEPARTMENT'S PROGRESS

Lamtluang Online News, Aizawl, 26th November 2024: Chief Minister Lalduhoma chaired a review meeting of the Education Department at the Secretariat Conference Hall in Aizawl. The meeting was attended by district officers, and the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to them for their presence.

The Chief Minister stated that the meeting was not called to criticise, but to understand the department's current situation and progress. He encouraged open discussion to address any issues or challenges faced by the department.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of project monitoring, stating that the Project Monitoring Committee had reviewed around 40 ongoing projects and identified areas for improvement. He also announced plans to establish a service review committee in each department to evaluate the performance of government employees.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister emphasised the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and announced plans to centralise CSR initiatives under the CM Office. He also stated that the government aims to increase the state's share in central funding and will submit projects to the Planning Department for approval.

The meeting concluded with a discussion on the way forward and the importance of collaborative efforts to improve the education sector in Mizoram. School Education Minister Dr. Vanlalthlana presented a report on the Education Department's progress, highlighting the challenges and achievements.
