Lamtluang Online News: The newly elected members of Sinlung Hills Council, 2024, took their oath of affirmation at Pisapui Hall, Aizawl DC Office on 18 November 2024.
The first sitting was held immediately. The Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Chief Executive Member, four Executive Council members, and two Nominated members were elected.
As per Section 5(2) of the Sinlung Hills Council Act 2018, the Pro-tem Chairman called for nominations for the Chairman position from among the elected members.
R. Lalfakzuala, elected from 10-Tinghmun constituency, was unanimously declared the Chairman of Sinlung Hills Council, 2024.
Besides electing the Chief Executive Member, Section 5(3) of the Sinlung Hills Council Act, 2018, nominates four elected members as Executive Members.
As per Section 5(1) of the Sinlung Hills Council Act, 2018, two Nominated Members were also appointed.
The elected officials are:
Chairman - R. Lalfakzuala (10-Tinghmun, MNF)
Deputy Chairman - Benjamin Lalrawnliana (9-Zohmun, MNF)
Chief Executive Member - Ricky Lalremsanga (4-Vanbawng, MNF)
Executive Members:
Melody Lalchhuangzeli (8-Sakawrdai North, IND),
Lalhmingthanga (5-Ratu, MNF),
Zokhumthanga (12-Saiphai, MNF),
and Lalhriatchhunga Hmar (7-Sakawrdai South, IND)
Nominated Members:
C. Lalnuntlanga, New Vervek and Ramfangzauva, Sakawrdai.
