MIZORAM INTER VILLAGE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2024

Lamtluang Online News: The GIG Motors MFA All Mizoram Inter Village Football Championship 2024, organised by the Mizoram Football Association (MFA), has seen 32 teams qualify for the round of 16, with 12 teams from outside Aizawl city participating.

The round of 32 will be played at two venues, Rajiv Gandhi Stadium and 1st Bn. MAP Ground, from 25 November 2024. The round of 16 will commence on 30 November 2024.

Among the 32 qualified teams, 12 teams from outside Aizawl city, including Hriphaw, Thenzawl Jt., Kolasib Jt., Vairengte Jt., Melbuk, Lungdai, Farkawn, Sihphir Venghlun, Tlangmawi, Lengpui, and Mamit Jt. Village Council, are participating.

A total of 88 villages have registered to participate in the tournament, and the champion team will receive a cash prize of Rs. 2 lakh and a sial (mithun/gayal animal). The final match is scheduled to take place on 12 December 2024, at the RG Stadium.

ROUND OF 32 MATCHES:

1. Bethlehem Vengthlang will face Hriphaw on 25 November 2024, at 10:00 am, at the RG Stadium.

2. Salem Veng will take on Thenzawl Jt. on 25 November 2024, at 12:00 pm, at the RG Stadium.

3. Mission Veng will face Kolasib Jt. on 25 November 2024, at 02:00 pm, at the RG Stadium.

4. Chawnpui will take on Republic Veng on 25 November 2024, at 10:00 am, at the 1st Bn. MAP Ground.

5. Vairengte Jt. will face Durtlang on 25 November 2024, at 12:00 pm, at the 1st Bn. MAP Ground.

6. Phunchawng will take on Melbuk on 25 November 2024, at 02:00 pm, at the 1st Bn. MAP Ground.

7. Chaltlang Lily Veng will face Armed Veng on 26 November 2024, at 10:00 am, at the 1st Bn. MAP Ground.

8. Lungdai will take on College Veng on 26 November 2024, at 12:00 pm, at the 1st Bn. MAP Ground.

9. Armed Veng South will face Bawngkawn on 26 November 2024, at 02:00 pm, at the 1st Bn. MAP Ground.

10. Farkawn will take on Zemabawk North on 27 November 2024, at 10:00 am, at the 1st Bn. MAP Ground.

11. Ramhlun North will face Chanmari on 27 November 2024, at 12:00 pm, at the 1st Bn. MAP Ground.

12. Chanmari West will take on Electric Veng on 27 November 2024, at 02:00 pm, at the 1st Bn. MAP Ground.

13. Tuithiang will face Sihphir Venghlun on 28 November 2024, at 11:00 am, at the 1st Bn. MAP Ground.

14. Tlangnuam will take on Tlangmawi on 28 November 2024, at 01:00 pm, at the 1st Bn. MAP Ground.

15. Lengpui will face Tuivamit on 29 November 2024, at 11:00 am, at the 1st Bn. MAP Ground.

16. Mamit Jt. will take on Chhinga Veng on 29 November 2024, at 01:00 pm, at the 1st Bn. MAP Ground.
