NORTH EAST MINI JAMBOREE CONCLUDES IN MIZORAM

Lamtluang Online News, Aizawl, 27th November 2024: The 8th North East Mini Jamboree, organised by the State Training Centre, Tanhril, concluded on 27th November 2024. The event was attended by Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar, Sports & Youth Services Minister and Vice President of Mizoram Bharat Scouts and Guides, as the chief guest.

The chief guest encouraged the Scouts and Guides members, stating that being part of the organisation is a great way to serve humanity. He shared his personal experience of being involved with Scouts and Guides since his school days and expressed his admiration for the Mizo tradition of hospitality.

The Minister advised the students to make the most of their skills and talents, to adapt to the changing world, and to become good citizens. He extended a special invitation to the students from outside Mizoram to visit the state again in the future.

The closing ceremony was moderated by Pu Lalngilneia Colney, State Secretary of Mizoram Bharat Scouts and Guides. The Mizoram Contingent presented a farewell song, and Pi Lalnunsiami Pachuau, Jamboree Assistant Organizer and Joint State Secretary, presented gifts to special guests.

The 8th North East Mini Jamboree brought together Scouts and Guides from various states in North East India, including Assam, Meghalaya, and Mizoram. The event promoted the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals and encouraged participants to showcase their cultural heritage.

The event was concluded by Pu Thankhuma, State Commissioner (AR) Mizoram BSG, who expressed his gratitude to all participants and guests.
