Lamtluang Online News, 20 November 2024: The Mizoram Football Association (MFA) has imposed bans on eight more players, effective immediately, due to their involvement in match-fixing activities.
This latest decision follows the earlier sanctions imposed on three clubs, three officials, and 24 players on November 4, 2024.
In a statement released yesterday, MFA reiterated its commitment to maintaining the integrity of football in Mizoram.
The association has taken stringent measures to prevent match-fixing in the ongoing Mizoram Premier League-11.
MFA praised the cooperation of honest officials and players in exposing the unethical activities.
The banned players are:
Zawnhmingthanga (FC Bethlehem)
Jones Lalṭhakima (Ramhlun Athletic FC)
Isak Vanlalpeka (Ramhlun Athletic FC)
Ramdinmawia Hnamte (Ramhlun Athletic FC)
Letminlun Singson (Ramhlun Athletic FC)
Yamy Longvah (Ramhlun Athletic FC)
Omega Vanlalhruaitluanga (Chawnpui FC)
Rohlupuia (FC Bethlehem)
MFA has urged footballers and stakeholders to collaborate in promoting fair play and the growth of football in Mizoram.
