Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma graced RIPANS Graduation and Lamp Lighting Ceremony 2024

The Regional Institute of Paramedical & Nursing Sciences (RIPANS) held its 24th Graduation and Lamp Light Ceremony on October 16, 2024 at Baptist Centre, Falkland, Aizawl with Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma as the chief guest.

In his address, the Chief Minister said, "We are proud to have RIPANS, a premier institution for paramedical sciences in India, not just in Mizoram. Many Mizo youths have benefited from this institution, and it continues to provide quality education. Today, several students have graduated, and many more have joined. I congratulate the graduates and encourage them to serve the nation and humanity with dedication and compassion.

The health sector needs skilled professionals like you. The pandemic has highlighted the importance of health professionals. Your role is crucial, and your dedication will make a difference. You have chosen a noble profession, and I urge you to continue serving humanity."

Regarding RIPANS, the Chief Minister acknowledged the institution's challenges, particularly faculty shortages, and assured support to address these issues.

Prof. Sanjay D. Sawant, Director, RIPANS, and Prof. Lalfamkimi, Principal, College of Nursing, RIPANS, also spoke at the ceremony.

During the event:

- 39 students graduated with Nursing degrees.
- 53 new students were inducted into the program.
- The Chief Minister awarded Proficiency Awards to top performers.

RIPANS has produced 788 graduates since its inception in 1996, with a remarkable placement record.

The institution offers various programs, including Nursing, B.Optom, B.Pharm, and Bachelors in MLS.
