3rd IR BATTALION SPREADS CHRISTMAS CHARITY

Lamtluang Online News: The 3rd IR Battalion, stationed in Thingkah, organised a Christmas charity programme, visiting and donating to four institutions in Lawngtlai on 20 December 2024. These institutions comprised District Hospital Lawngtlai, Lairam Rescue Center, Lairam Motherless Home, and Oasis Boys Home Lawngtlai.

As part of their charity programme, the battalion donated essential items, including food, clothing, and financial assistance, to these institutions. This charitable endeavour is an annual tradition for the 3rd IR Battalion, which has been actively involved in community service and charitable activities since their deployment in Assam.

Their selfless efforts to help those in need are truly commendable and reflect the values of kindness and compassion that are inherent in our police force.



TAITEA FANS EXTEND CHARITY TO ORPHANAGES

Lamtluang Online News: A group of fans of Youth Icon Taitea (Lalsangliana), known as "Thatea Streaming Club for Taitea", organised a charity event on 20th December 2024, visiting two orphanages, Hmangaihna In and Hermon Children Home.

The fans donated various essential items, including clothing, chapals, Amul Gold milk, detergent, dal, rice, and fruit juice. They spent quality time with the children at both orphanages, bringing joy and happiness to their lives.

Approximately 17 fans participated in this charitable event, showcasing the kindness and generosity of the Taitea fan community.



MIZORAM COOPERATIVE APEX BANK EXTENDS CHRISTMAS CHARITY

Lamtluang Online News: The Mizoram Cooperative Apex Bank has extended Christmas charity to the needy and underprivileged. On 20th December 2024, the bank's chairman, Lalnunsanga, and CEO, A. Lallungmuana, presented gifts to the Tawngtai Bethel Camping Centre and the Thutak Nunpuitu Team.

The gifts included 20 bags of rice, 20 bags of dal, 7 tins of oil, and a cash donation of Rs. 50,000 to each organisation. The bank's branches in other districts also distributed gifts to district hospitals, orphanages, and other charitable institutions.

The total value of the gifts distributed by the bank's branches is estimated to be over Rs. 7 lakhs. The Apex Bank expressed their gratitude to the people of Mizoram for their support and trust in the bank, and wished them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.




MYANMAR MILITARY COUNCIL LAUNCHES AIRSTRIKES ON KYAUKHLA VILLAGE

Lamtluang Online News: The Myanmar Military Council launched airstrikes on KyaukHla village in Minkin township, Sagaing region, on the night of 18 December 2024. Locals and the People's Defence Force (PDF) reported that the airstrikes were carried out without any clashes in the area.

A local resident stated that the Military Council bombed the village six times using Y-12 planes from Magway airforce, but the number of casualties is unknown. The bombing incident occurred near KaNi town, and locals reported that the Military Council bombed the village without any clashes in the area.

The Military Council's spokesperson did not respond to phone calls from RFA media regarding the bombing incident. This incident follows a similar airstrike on 16 December 2024, which killed five locals and injured over 10.

The repeated airstrikes have forced around 4,000 villagers to flee the area. The Military Council's actions have caused widespread displacement and suffering among the local population.
