ELECTRIC VENG BRANCH YMA CAMPAIGNS AGAINST FIRECRACKERS

Lamtluang Online News: The Electric Veng Branch of the Young Mizo Association (YMA) in Aizawl has put up banners in various locations within their jurisdiction, urging people not to burst firecrackers. The banners read, "Bursting firecrackers creates a hazardous and unhealthy environment for humans, please refrain from doing so."

The Mizoram Government has appealed to the YMA to help prevent the bursting of firecrackers, and has already held meetings with YMA branches in Aizawl to discuss the matter.

YOUNG BRU ASSOCIATION HOSTS FIRST AIZAWL BRU MEET

Lamtluang Online News: On 23rd November 2024, the Young Bru Association (YBA) organised the first-ever Aizawl Bru Meet at the Hyve Centre. The event was attended by Robert Romawia Royte, MLA of Hachhek constituency, who advised the YBA members to be diligent and sincere in their endeavours, and to work in harmony with other communities and the government in Mizoram.

AIZAWL POLICE SEIZE CRACKERS

Lamtluang Online News: On 23rd November 2024 Aizawl District Police seized crackers worth Rs. 2,200 in Khatla, Aizawl in accordance with an order issued by the Aizawl District Magistrate.

According to police sources, the seized crackers were found in three boxes. The owner of the crackers was also apprehended, but his name was not disclosed as he was granted bail.

The police stated that they are working tirelessly to detect and seize illegal crackers and will continue to do so. They appealed to the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to prevent the sale and use of illegal crackers.
