Yesterday evening Capacity Building for Research Scholars programme for 5 days was inaugurated by Mr. Lalduhthlana Ralte, IFS (Retd.), Chief Information Commissioner, Mizoram Information Commission at Tourist Lodge, Chaltlang, Aizawl. This programme is jointly organised by Department of History, PUC and OKD Institute of Social Change and Development (OKDISCD), Guwahati. The inaugural function was Chaired by Mr. H.S Lalsangpuia Head, Department of History, PUC, Prof. Bhupen Sarmah, Director, OKDISCD had a speech on the introduction of the programme. Dr. Tawnenga, Principal, PUC and Prof. Joy LK Pachuau, CHS, JNU also delivered speeches . Dr. Joseph K.Lalfakzuala, Faculty,OKDISCD delivered a vote of thanks. Ms. H Vanlalhlimpuii, V Sem student also presented a special number on this function. Various research scholars within the state and outside participated this programme. From today onward the programme is scheduled to be held at Seminar hall, PUC. The programme will be concluded on February 11, 2018. Mr. Lalzarzoa, Faculty, Department of History, Pachhunga University College and Programme co-ordinator told our reporter that in this programme various important academic discourses in North East India and Mizoram related socio-political issues - Mizo uprising, Gender issues etc. will be covered by the resource persons and invited panelists.
