MIZORAM SPORTS MINISTER GRACES COACH REFRESHER COURSE








Aizawl, October 18th, 2024: Today at 1:00 pm, Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar, Minister of State for Sports & Youth Services, attended the ongoing Coach Refresher Course at the Sports & Youth Services Directorate. He stated that coaches have a significant responsibility to ensure Mizo athletes participate in the 2036 Olympics.

Minister Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar urged coaches to work diligently and contribute to the development of Mizo athletes. He emphasized the importance of coaches being role models, punctual, and dedicated. He advised coaches to prioritize their duties and arrive early for training sessions.

The Minister appealed for cooperation in the government's efforts to promote sports and youth development, highlighting the "Bana Kaih" policy's focus on enhanced sports coaching.

The Sports & Youth Services Department organized a refresher course for coaches starting October 15. The program included:

1. Seminar on Sports Medicine and First Aid (October 15-16)
2. Seminar on Sports Psychology and Method of Training (October 17-18)

Fifty-five coaches from the Department, Khelo India State Centre of Excellence (KISCE), District Khelo India Centre (KIC), and Scouts & Guides, Adventure Wing Staff attended the training.

MIZORAM CONGRESS CONDEMNS ASSAM RIFLES HIGH-HANDEDNESS


The Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) strongly condemned the Assam Rifles' stoppage of Mizoram Minister's Carcade on October 17, 2024, near Bung Bangla village. The Mizo National Front (MNF) Legislature Party strongly condemned the brutal stoppage of Mizoram Minister's Carcade by the 2nd Battalion Assam Rifles near Bung Bangla village in Mizoram on October 17, 2024. In their press release, the MNF Legislature Party denounced the Assam Rifles' actions as a blatant disregard for Mizo society and Indian democracy, urging the Mizoram government to take necessary action to safeguard the dignity and democratic values of the Mizo people.

Mizoram CM Meets NFR General Manager, Discusses Bairabi-Sairang Rail Project

Aizawl, October 17, 2024: Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma met with Pu Arun Kumar Chaudhary, General Manager of Construction, North East Frontier Railways (NFR), at his office.

They discussed the ongoing rail project between Bairabi and Sairang.

The Chief Minister requested that the state government take initiative to expedite the construction of approach roads to the rail stations.

He also inquired about the progress and challenges faced.

He expressed hopes that the rail service would generate employment opportunities for Mizo youth.

The General Manager assured that they aim to complete the project by July 31, 2025, barring unforeseen obstacles.

He added that despite facing difficulties due to steep terrain, the project's completion will greatly enhance transportation efficiency and attract tourism, as the route offers breathtaking views.

The General Manager invited the Chief Minister to inspect their progress.
