President of India arrive Aizawl , Mizoram

Aizawl: For his maiden visit to Mizoram President of India Ram Nath Kovind arrived Aizawl today, he was received by Governor of Mizoram Lt General (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma and Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla at Thuampui Helipad. President inaugurated Housing complex for Economically Weaker Section at the programme held in Raj Bhavan here. It is built by the state government under 'Basic Services to Urban Poor Scheme'. He is now having interaction with Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla and his council of ministers and will stay here for tonight. President of India will be having interaction with Mizo students on tomorrow morning. At 10 A.M he will be having interactions with civil society and various NGOs leaders at Raj Bhavan, then he will be delivering a speech at Mizoram Legislative Assembly Special Session. As per his tour programme he will proceed to Nagaland in tomorrow afternoon.
