CHIEF MINISTER PU LALDUHOMA ATTENDS 8TH ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION OF CHHINGCHHIP SAINIK SCHOOL

Lamtluang Online News: The 8th Annual Day Celebration of Chhingchhip Sainik School was held, where Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma graced the occasion as the chief guest.

During the event, Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma stated that Mizoram and India require talented individuals who can contribute to the development of the nation. He also highlighted that the state government has been providing substantial support to the school every year, with the aim of producing successful students.

The Chief Minister expressed his pride in Chhingchhip Sainik School being the first Sainik School in India to introduce Girls Cadet admission.

Lt. Col. Kartik Sood, Principal of Chhingchhip Sainik School, presented a report during the event, stating that the school currently has 388 students, of which 52 are girls.

The Chief Minister also held a meeting with school officials at the School Office Conference Hall, where they discussed plans for the school's future development.

The event was attended by the constituency MLA and Minister Pu PC Vanlalruata, Lt. Col. Clement Lalhmingthanga, MLA, and other dignitaries.



LORD'S PRAYER NOW AVAILABLE IN MIZO LANGUAGE IN JERUSALEM

Lamtluang Online News: The Lord's Prayer, taught by Jesus Christ, has been translated into the Mizo language and is now available in Jerusalem. This achievement was made possible under the initiative of DPC and Father Raymond Ralte, Mamit Parish Priest.

The Lord's Prayer has been translated into numerous languages, but it is a remarkable achievement that it is now available in the Mizo language. This milestone is a testament to the dedication and hard work of those involved in the translation process.

MURDER IN SAIPUM: THANGHAUVA KILLS HENTENCHUN

Lamtluang Online News: A murder case occurred in Saipum on 4 December 2024, where Thanghauva murdered Hentenchun (26), the son of Seikhawhau, who  lived in his ex-in-law's house in Saipum Chhimveng. Thanghauva was subsequently arrested by the police.

According to Jangminlien, the son of Pauchun Saipum Chhimveng, who filed an FIR at Vairengte police station, Hentenchun was his friend and staying at his house. Hentenchun was a resident of Nagaland who had come to Mizoram for work.

On 4 December 2024, Thanghauva sent his daughter to call Hentenchun to their house, and when Hentenchun arrived, Thanghauva attacked him with a sharp object, inflicting multiple wounds on his chest. Hentenchun was taken to Saipum Health & Wellness Centre, where he was declared dead.

Although the reason for the murder is not clear, Thanghauva reportedly often suspected that Hentenchun and his friends, including Jangminlien, who is his ex-wife's younger brother.

When the public learned about the murder, the atmosphere became tense, and a group of people vandalised Thanghauva's house, rendering it uninhabitable. However, no further violence occurred, as the police had already taken Thanghauva into custody.

The post-mortem examination of Hentenchun's body was conducted at Vairengte Community Health Centre (CHC) on 5 December 2024. His body was later taken to his native place in Nagaland for burial.

Thanghauva was arrested by the Vairengte police on 4 December 2024 and was produced before the Kolasib Court on 5 December 2024. The police have registered a case against Thanghauva under the relevant sections of the law.

LALCHHARLIANA, WINNER OF THE FIRST LPS COMEDIAN SEARCH, TIES THE KNOT

Lamtluang Online News, December 5, 2024: Mizo comedian Lalchharliana, the winner of the first LPS Comedian Search in 2008, got married today. Chhara, as he is popularly known, has been a prominent figure in the comedy world and has entertained many with his wit and humour.

The wedding ceremony took place at the Dawrpui Vengthar West Presbyterian Church at 1 pm today, where Chhara tied the knot with his bride, Hriati (PC Lalhriatchhungi). The ceremony was attended by friends, family, and well-wishers, who came to bless the newlywed couple.

Chhara's victory in the first LPS Comedian Search in 2008 marked the beginning of his successful career in comedy. He was followed by C Vanlalduha, who secured the second position, and Lalchhanhima, who came third.
