MIZORAM MINISTER B LALCHHANZOVA STUDIES KARNATAKA REVENUE DEPARTMENT

Mizoram's Land Revenue and Settlement Minister, Pu B.Lalchhanzová, arrived in Bengaluru day before yesterday to study the Karnataka government's Revenue Department's operations.

On October 23, Pu B Lalchhanzová met Karnataka Revenue Minister Pu Krishna Byre Gowda at Vikasa Soudha and discussed enhancing collaboration between the two states. He requested assistance for Mizos living in Karnataka, especially in Bengaluru.

Pu B Lalchhanzová praised Karnataka's efficient land revenue administration and innovative use of technology, making it a model for Indian states.

During his visit from October 23-26, Pu B Lalchhanzová, accompanied by officials, will observe Karnataka's revenue department practices and conduct field visits.

The Minister emphasized the need to improve Mizoram's land revenue setup and expressed optimism that the delegation would learn valuable lessons from Karnataka.

Pu Vanlalmawia, Secretary, Land Revenue & Settlement, and other officials are accompanying the Minister.

CEMENT COMPANIES THAT DO NOT REDUCE RATES WILL FACE BOYCOTT IN MIZORAM

On October 23, 2024, Mizo Students' Union (MSU) General Headquarters, Aizawl, and cement company representatives met to discuss reducing cement prices in Mizoram. They agreed to lower the price by ₹10 within 72 hours to alleviate public hardship.

MSU warned that companies failing to reduce prices within the timeframe will face boycotts in Mizoram. The public is urged to support MSU's initiative, which benefits Mizoram and its people.

FEMINA MISS MIZORAM LILY DARNEI COMPLETES BBA

Lily Lalremkimi Darnei, winner of Femina Miss Mizoram 2018, has successfully completed her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the Department of Business Administration, Shillong College.

Lily previously studied at St. Agnes' Convent School, Haflong, and later pursued B.Sc (Chemistry) at St. Edmund's College, Shillong.

Apart from being a beauty queen, Lily is also incredibly talented, exceling in music and and dancing and also speaking five languages fluently: Biate, Hmar, Mizo (Duhlian), Hindi, and English.

In 2018, Lily moved from her hometown Fiangpui, Haflong, Assam, to Mizoram, where she participated in the Miss Mizoram contest and secured a spot in the top 5. She then represented Mizoram at the Femina Miss India 2018 contest.

HRANGTURZO MLA HONOURS YOUTH ICON 2024 LALSANGLIANA WITH DEVELOPMENT CONTRACT

Lalmuanpuia Punte, MLA from Hrangturzo, awarded a development contract works to Lalsangliana, winner of Youth Icon 2024 from Bawktlang village in Mizoram. The contract was announced during Lalsangliana's farewell ceremony held at Zero Point in Salem Veng, Aizawl.

Youth Icon 2024 Lalsangliana received a grand welcome in Serchhip and North Vanlaiphai today, with many fans gathering to celebrate his achievement. After the reception, he proceeded to his village, Bawktlang, accompanied by his followers.

It's wonderful to see Lalsangliana's community rallying around him, especially considering Serchhip District's efforts to support its residents.
