POLICE COMMEMORATION DAY OBSERVED AT MAMIT SP OFFICE

Police Commemoration Day was observed today at Mamit SP Office, honoring the ultimate sacrifices of Indian police personnel. Pu Pukhraj Kamal, Mamit SP, Mizoram highlighted the importance of a healthy lifestyle for police officers, praising their selfless dedication.

The event marked a solemn tribute to fallen police heroes, with a minute's silence observed in their memory. October 21st is annually commemorated nationwide as Police Martyrs' Day, recognizing the valor and sacrifices of India's police force.

J LALROSANGA : THE PEOPLE'S ICON

J Lalrosanga top 5 winner of LBS Suzuki Youth Icon 2024 

J Lalrosanga, a young man from Tuidam, Mizoram has captured the hearts of many, despite not winning the top spot in the LBS SUZUKI Youth Icon 2024 competition. Although he didn't make it to the finals, his story and selfless acts have gone viral on social media, earning him widespread admiration.

Recently, on October 17, 2024, Lalrosanga donated the cash prize he received from his supporters to the Muanna In Boys Home, run by the Salvation Army in Mualpuikawn, Aizawl. The next day, he visited the Special Blind School in Dutlang, spending quality time with the students.

In a surprise gesture, his fans gifted him a Honda CB200X bike, valued at ₹169,000, on the night of the Youth Icon 2024 finals held on 19 October 2024. This heartwarming gesture has made him the "People's Icon."

Lalrosanga expressed his gratitude on Instagram: "Lord, your people have been so kind to me. How can I thank them enough? I never expected this, you are great. Thank you to all those who contributed to this gift."

His humility and kindness have won over many hearts, solidifying his position as a true icon.

Mizoram Chief Minister's Running Trophy Awarded

On Saturday, October 19, 2024, the Art & Culture Department and Central YMA jointly organized the 13th Chief Minister's Running Trophy - Hnam Lam Competition at Dawrpui Multipurpose Centre, Aizawl, Mizoram.

Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Art & Culture Minister Pu C. Lalsawivunga attended as the guest of honor. The event was moderated by Pi Carol VLMS Dawngkimi, Director, Art & Culture, and addressed by Pu Lalhmachhuana, President, Central YMA, and Pu C. Lalthlamuana, Secretary, Cultural Sub Committee.

This year's competition saw 42 Branch YMA teams competing in Khuallam and Cheraw traditional dances

- Overall Winner (Chief Minister Running Trophy):
    - 1st Place: Chanmari West Branch YMA
    - 2nd Place: Vaivakawn Branch YMA

Cheraw Awards:

- 1st Place: Chanmari West Branch YMA
- 2nd Place: Lamka Branch YMA
- 3rd Place: Ramthar Branch YMA

Khuallam Awards:

- 1st Place: Vaivakawn Branch YMA
- 2nd Place: Chanmari West Branch YMA
- 3rd Place: Pawlrang Branch YMA

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Pu Roneihthanga, Treasurer, Central YMA.

LALSANGLIANA CROWNED YOUTH ICON 2024

Lalsangliana from Bawktlang won the coveted title of LBS Suzuki Youth Icon 2024 at the grand finale held tonight at LPS Arena, Aizawl, Mizoram. Peter Lalnunpuia from College Veng, Aizawl secured the second position, while Lalbiakkima Hnamte from Thentlang finished third.

Final result:

- Winner: Lalsangliana (Bawktlang)
- 1st Runner-up: Peter Lalnunpuia (College Veng, Aizawl)
- 2nd Runner-up: Lalbiakkima Hnamte (Thentlang)
