MIZO BOXERS GEAR UP FOR WBC YOUTH WORLD TITLE

Lamtluang Online News: On November 30, Dinsanga will face Michael Nelson, as LPS Pro Fight champion Laldinsanga vies for the WBC Youth World title this month-end against Michael Decardi Nelson.

Grassroot Boxing presents a grand show at White House, Bangalore, on November 30, featuring 21-year-old Dinsanga and Ghanaian fighter Nelson in the main event. If Ramthar Lunglei boxer Dinsanga wins, he will become the second Mizo WBC Youth world champion.

Dinsanga, Pro Fight bantamweight champion, was initially scheduled to fight in Dubai on November 9 but withdrew due to injury. However, he has now regained his opportunity. In his professional career, Dinsanga boasts eight wins, with five knockouts.

His upcoming opponent, 22-year-old Nelson, has also excelled in professional boxing, remaining unbeaten in eight fights. Nelson's last victory was against Sodiq Adeleke in Accra, Ghana, on March 24.

Additionally, Pro Fight middleweight champion C Lalhruaitluanga will compete for the WBC India title against Ritesh Singh. Hruaia, 27, has secured seven wins in his professional career.

Mizo boxers and WBC India champions Vanlalawmpuia and F Zoramchhana will also participate. Awpa will face Ugandan boxer Kagimu Ivan Kigga, while Cherhlun's Zotea will confront Filipino fighter Norberto Tano.

YMA CONDEMNS MANIPUR VIOLENCE, DEMANDS ACTION FROM CENTRAL GOVERNMENT

Lamtluang Online News: On November 13, 2024, the Young Mizo Association (YMA) Central Coordination Committee (CCC) met in Aizawl and adopted a resolution condemning the recent violence in Manipur.

The resolution strongly condemned the killing of Zosangkim Hmar, a teacher at Hermon Dew English Junior High School, by unknown perpetrators on November 7, 2024, in Jiribam District, Manipur.

Additionally, the resolution condemned the killing of 10 innocent civilians and injury of 1 person by CRPF personnel on November 11, 2024, in the same district.

The YMA demands that the Central government take immediate action to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

The organization also urges the Central government to provide compensation to the families of the 11 deceased and 1 injured.

Furthermore, the YMA calls on the Central government to resolve the ongoing conflict in Manipur as soon as possible.

The resolution expressed deep sympathy for the families of the victims and urged the Central government to take necessary steps to prevent such incidents in the future.

BORDER OUTPOST RENAMED 'BOP LALFAMKIMA' IN HONOR OF MARTYRED BSF HERO

Lamtluang Online News, Mizoram: In honor of the bravery of Mizo son, Head Constable Lalfamkima, who sacrificed his life fighting Pakistani militants, the Government of India's Ministry of Home Affairs renamed a Border Outpost (BOP) in Jammu & Kashmir Sector as 'BOP LALFAMKIMA', effective September 30, 2024.

Head Constable Lalfamkima, 50, husband of F Lalzarliani from Durtlang North, Aizawl, Mizoram was martyred by Pakistani soldiers while on duty in Ramgarh Sector, Samba district, Jammu.

As part of the 148 Battalion Border Security Force (BSF), Lalfamkima was stationed near the Pakistan border in Jammu when he was attacked by Pakistani soldiers on November 8, 2023. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries at 12:30 am, leaving behind his wife and three children.

MIZORAM TO GET 5-STAR HOTEL SOON!

Lamtluang Online News, Aizawl, November 12, 2024: Mizoram Tourism Minister Lalrinpuii has expressed confidence that a 5-star hotel will be established in the state within their ruling period.

Addressing the media at Aizawl Press Club yesterday, Minister Lalrinpuii stated that the government is working towards making Mizoram's tourism sector more vibrant.

The Chaltlang Tourist Lodge is being considered for outsourcing to become a 5-star hotel, the minister revealed. However, she clarified that the process is still in its initial stages.

"We have begun the necessary procedures, and asset valuation is currently underway," Minister Lalrinpuii explained. "Once the valuation is complete, we will issue an Expression of Interest (EOI)."

The proposed 5-star hotel aims to cater to the growing demands of tourists and business travelers, boosting Mizoram's economy and showcasing its rich cultural heritage.

The minister's announcement has generated excitement among locals, who see the hotel as a significant step forward for Mizoram's tourism industry.

No official timeline has been announced for the hotel's completion, but Minister Lalrinpuii remains optimistic that it will become a reality within their current term.

This development is part of the state government's broader efforts to enhance Mizoram's tourism infrastructure and attract high-end investments.
