POLICE COMMEMORATION DAY 2024: 3RD IR BATTALION ORGANIZES BLOOD DONATION CAMP

Lamtluang Online News, 28 October 2024: To commemorate Police Commemoration Day 2024, the 3rd IR Battalion, Thingkah, organized a blood donation camp today. The event saw the battalion's Commandant, Pu Lalbiakzauva, MPS, and 18 staff members donate 19 units of blood. Dr. Lalkhawngaihsanga and his team from Lawngtlai Blood Bank collected the donations.

Police Commemoration Day honors Indian Police personnel martyred in the 1959 Hot Spring, Ladakh incident and those who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. Since 1966, Mizoram has lost 54 police personnel in the line of duty.

In addition to the blood donation camp, the 3rd IR Battalion will also conduct a cleanliness drive and tree plantation to mark Police Commemoration Day.

MIZORAM RAJ BHAVAN TO OPEN FOR PUBLIC ON DIWALI

The Raj Bhavan, residence of the Governor of Mizoram, will be open to the public on Diwali (October 31) 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM for four hours. Entry and exit will be through the Main Gate (Gate No. 1/Northern Gate).

FANS CELEBRATES LALSANGLIANA BIRTHDAY WITH BILLBOARD

Lamtluang Online News, 28 October 2024: Today (28.10.24) marks the birthday of Youth Icon Lalsangliana (Taitea), and his fans group has erected two large billboards at Millennium Centre, Aizawl, to celebrate the occasion.

Lalsangliana, a talented young artist from Bawktlang, has a massive following on WhatsApp, and his fans group has taken the initiative to showcase his achievements in Aizawl. This is not the first time a celebrity's billboard has been erected in the city; earlier, Tuidam's J Lalrosanga's billboard was also displayed.

Although Lalsangliana has already won the LPS Youth Icon title, his popularity continues to soar. The Top 10 contestants received generous prizes, including cash awards and gifts delivered to their doorsteps.

RATION CARD NOTICE ISSUED BY MIZORAM FOOD & CIVIL SUPPLY DEPARTMENT

Lamtluang Online News, 28 October 2024: Regarding the revision of Non-NFSA (Card Var) rice price to ₹30.00 per kg starting October 2024, to avoid public confusion, the following clarifications are issued by Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Mizoram.

1. Non-NFSA (Card Var) beneficiaries will receive rice at ₹30.00 per kg starting October 2024.

2. PHH (Card Pawl) beneficiaries will continue to receive an additional 3 kg at ₹15.00 per kg.

3. This revised price applies to the entire state of Mizoram.

4. Due to the ongoing NFSA beneficiary revision, the existing ration cardholders will receive their ration for October 2024 as before.

5. As per office orders, retailers must ensure adequate rice supply to consumers by sourcing from Supply Godowns.
